Connect ChatGPT to your website
Get the real desktop app from the Microsoft Store — not the “Install” button in your browser. The browser version is just the website in a window — it can’t see your folders or work on your computer. The Store app can.
- Install the ChatGPT desktop app
Get it from the Microsoft Store (search “ChatGPT” — publisher OpenAI). Don’t use the “Install” button inside your browser — see the note above.
- Provide your login
Make a folder, e.g. Documents › my-website, and put your logins in a file — access.txt: site address · hosting or FTP login (host, username, password) — database name, username, password — and WordPress login (username, password) (optional). Attach the file to your chat, or let ChatGPT work with the folder if your plan includes it.
