After you added your products we now need to add the size attributes and stock quantities of those sizes which is done when you have finished adding a product
Step two: assigen those size attributes to your items;
The way you can add attributes to your products is by adding them in the "Attributes Controller"
1. go to admin > catalog > Attributes Controller
2. select a category
3. select a product you would like to have variants(attributes) then click display
4. now... go down the page until you see the word "size (for example) " and click on it,
then click on a number in the box to the right that represents one of the sizes you have, then click insert,
then follow these steps again and add each of the sizes you have for that product.
5. Now to do the same for each of your products, to make this easier (to do this without having to add them individually); display the item that you have just added sizes to, then click the button on the page that says "copy, to product" and click on that
then select one of your items and then click copy, this will copy over all the sizes to that product, and you can do this for each of your products adding all of the variants for each product.
You have now added size attributes to your items that can be seen in your online shop… But because you have installed the "stock_by_attributes" it will say "sold out" on all of your items that have sizes
If you want to set a stock value for each variant of a product (add stock amount of these attributes so it says sold out when they are not in stock) please follow these next instructions;
click on admin >Catalog->Products with Attributes Stock (and follow the logical instruction displayed on the page you see).
Alternatively you can add a "stock quantity" when listing the item and write the size you have available in the description of the items.
Step one: set up size attributes
We will first need to setup the different sizes and colors you are going to use... As this is a slightly complicated task I normally like to do this for you, just send me a list of the different sizes and/or colors that will be used for any products.
